Customization We realize each county's IHSS referral and report requirements may slightly differ. Therefore, we have designed our application in a modular approach. This allows us to easily customize any portion of the application to meet the customer's specific requirements. Our approach to customization are as follows: 1. Meet with the customer to understand the business requirement and agree on a proposed solution. 2. Set up a test and development application to make the design changes 3. Allow a testing time for the users to test the new functionality in the development environment 4. When customer approves the changes, the new code is implemented into the production application These steps ensure that any new functionality meets the customer's expectations and does not disrupt the existing functionality. |

Open Architecture The IHSS application is designed within a open architecture environment. This allows for ease of report and data integration with other programs such as AAA and MSSP. This open architecture has allowed the Council on Aging of Santa Clara county to create reports across programs to analyze trends in care provided. This has been important in understanding the disbursement of care, which benefits the consumers. |

CMIPs Integration/ Health Provider and Union reporting The IHSS application has modules to integrate monthly CMIPS data. The modules support data for the IPs and Consumers. This integration is supported by Refined Technologies and is included in the monthly support contract. With the imported data the CMIPs data contains reports to analyze any attribute within CMIPs. Examples are city, zip code, language or gender. In addition, the CMIPs data within the application contains the functionality to administer the health insurance benefits. The health benefit information is automatically electronically reported to the Health Insurance provider and Union on a monthly basis. The CMIPs data can also be used to create reports analyzing IP and Consumer demographics and Social Worker reporting and analysis. |

Monthly Registry Reports Our IHSS software's flexibility allows for smooth integration of County required monthly reports. These reports will need to be customized to meet the county's specific requirements. When designed the reports will be automatically generated on the first day of each month at 2:00 am. The reports will contain data for the prior month. These reports can be printed or electronically transferred to the county. |
